Brief  History

  • William and Larry Moskoff took over ownership of ​Bock Pharmacal, a specialty pharma business focused on a variety of women’s health and respiratory care products including pre-natal products and cough syrups, from their father in 1963.
  • Through organic growth William and Larry Moskoff successfully increased Bock’s sales revenue from under $55K to over $100MM and sold the company to Paris-based Sanofi, Inc. in 1996. At the time, Sanofi had revenue of $2 billion.
  • William Moskoff founded Highland Pharmaceuticals in 1999 with Jim Bausch, a former executive of Monsanto, Rhone Poulenc and IMC, who had a strong background in human and animal pharma.
  • Bill and Jim developed taste masking products for the companion animal health markets utilizing a proprietary delivery technology called ConSeal® and marketing them through Bock Vet Pharma.
  • Research established that the drug delivery technology used in animal health products could also be utilized to make tamper resistant products in the human OTC pseudephedrine market. Highland developed the Tarex® technology and founded Westport Pharmaceuticals as the marketing arm for the PSE product Zephrex-D®.
  • The next generation abuse deterrent products for the opioid market will be developed and marketed through Sentinel Pharmaceuticals.
